CVE-2024-29745Android Pixel — bootloader hands back uninitialized memory

The bootloader firmware that unlocks and flashes a Pixel returns memory it never cleared, so whatever was left there leaks to whoever can drive it. No extra privileges and no user interaction are needed.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Install the April 2024 Pixel security update. Until it lands, treat a handset that spent time in someone else's hands as one whose memory could have been read out.
