CVE-2026-60137WordPress Core — WP_Query author__not_in SQL injection

WordPress core does not sanitise the author__not_in parameter of WP_Query, so a plugin or theme that feeds it untrusted input exposes the site to SQL injection. It is exploited in the wild and chained with CVE-2026-63030 for unauthenticated RCE on default installs.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Update WordPress to 6.8.6, 6.9.5 or 7.0.2 now; it is actively exploited and chained with CVE-2026-63030 for RCE. Audit plugins and themes that pass user input to WP_Query.
