CVE-2026-33634Trivy — malicious release and rewritten action tags

On 19 March 2026 an attacker with stolen credentials published a malicious Trivy release and rewrote nearly every version tag of its build actions to point at credential-stealing code, so pipelines pinned to a tag pulled the attacker's version.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Pin Trivy and its actions to a commit hash rather than a tag; rotate every credential the build pipeline could reach and audit runs back to late February 2026.
