CVE-2025-6218WinRAR — archive path traversal writes outside the target folder

WinRAR mishandles the paths stored inside an archive, so opening a crafted one writes a file somewhere the user never chose — a startup folder, for instance — and code then runs as that user.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Update WinRAR to the patched release now; a targeted campaign uses this, so treat archives from outside the organisation as something to open in isolation.
