CVE-2024-8957PTZOptics cameras — time server setting runs commands as root

The affected PTZOptics camera firmware (PT30X-SDI, PT30X-NDI) before 6.3.40 does not validate the time server address, so a signed-in attacker gets commands run as root when the client starts.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Update the camera firmware to 6.3.40 or later now; it is chained with an authentication bypass in the same product, so patch both together.
