CVE-2023-47246SysAid — a written file that becomes running code

A path traversal in the on-premise SysAid server lets an attacker place a file inside the web application's own directory and then have the server run it. It was exploited in November 2023 by ransomware operators.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Upgrade SysAid on-premise to 23.3.36 or later, then hunt through the web application directory for files nobody deployed — this one was used to stage ransomware.
