CVE-2023-2868Barracuda email gateway — a file name that runs

The Barracuda email security appliance does not clean the file names inside an archive attachment, so a crafted name reaches a command interpreter and runs with the product's own privileges. Versions 5.1.3.001 to 9.2.0.006 are affected.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Apply the Barracuda patch, which the vendor pushed to appliances automatically, and treat any appliance that processed mail before it as one owing a compromise check.
