CVE-2022-31199Netwrix Auditor — the monitoring server as the way in

The activity recording component of Netwrix Auditor deserializes objects arriving over its own protocol, so an attacker who reaches port 9004 runs code as the most privileged account — on the server and on every system it watches.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Install the Netwrix fix, then block port 9004 at the network boundary. The agents on monitored systems carry the same flaw, not only the server.
