CVE-2022-0492Linux kernel — cgroups v1 release_agent privilege escalation

The Linux kernel does not check who may set the cgroups v1 release_agent, so a sufficiently privileged process inside a container can have the host run a program as root — stepping straight out of the container's isolation.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Patch the kernel to a build carrying the release_agent fix now; until then run containers under user namespaces or a policy that denies CAP_SYS_ADMIN.
