CVE-2022-0185Linux kernel — heap overflow in the filesystem context parser

legacy_parse_param() does not check how long a mount parameter is, so a local user who can open a filesystem that predates the newer context interface overflows the heap and takes over the machine. Working exploits are published.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Patch the kernel to your distribution's fixed build. Where that has to wait, restrict unprivileged user namespaces — the public exploits depend on them.
