CVE-2021-27878Veritas Backup Exec — a command run as the system

The same legacy authentication weakness lets an attacker reach the data management commands on a Backup Exec agent, and one of those runs a command of the attacker's choosing with system privileges. Fixed in 21.2.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Upgrade Backup Exec to 21.2 or later. All three agent flaws share one root cause and one fix, so a partial rollout closes none of them.
