CVE-2010-0249Internet Explorer — Operation Aurora use-after-free

Internet Explorer 6 through 8 keeps using an object after it has been deleted, so a crafted web page can run the attacker's code as the person browsing. This was the way in during the Operation Aurora intrusions of late 2009 and early 2010.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Retire Internet Explorer entirely — every affected version is long out of support, and the 2010 update is the only fix that ever shipped.
